The Challenge

With over 1000 subsidiaries and a business that grows via acquisition, Hitachi wanted to equip its high potential leaders with the personal skills, and strategic business knowledge to:

  • Collaborate effectively across function and across geographies
  • Maximise the potential growth of Hitachi Group Companies across Europe
  • Actively contribute to the commercial growth and strategy of Hitachi Group Companies across Europe

The Solution

We partnered with Hitachi for over 10 years to design and deliver an annual leadership development programme that was carefully aligned to their global People Manager Competencies. Over 10 years, the programme has seen various iterations, as the requirements of their leaders have shifted. The core elements of the programme include:

  • MBTI Psychometric and 360 feedback
  • Line manager briefings and triangular sessions
  • 3 modules – Leading self (3 days), leading others (2 days) and leading the organisation (1 day)
  • 3 Action Learning Sets (one virtual)
  • Individual strategic business project and presentation
  • 1-2-1 coaching
