Sheffield Hallam University was pursuing an ambitious Institutional strategy at a financially challenging time for the sector. As part of this strategy, SHU identified the need to develop a cohesive and values-led leadership style within its top 80 leaders. While leaders excelled in their own areas, collaboration across academic and professional services teams was limited. The goal was to foster a unified leadership approach (whatever their level or role) across the University system. Ultimately breaking down silos, strengthening decision-making, and embedding a values-led, empowering leadership culture.
