High Potential Leadership Simulation

An innovative, scenario-based development programme for high potential leaders

The Challenge

With shifts in both internal culture and external market conditions, Sony was looking to both refine and enhance the leadership capabilities of their high-potential managers. As part of a talent management strategy, the client identified three areas of focus:

  • Different ways of leading – particularly accelerating performance of dispersed, multinational teams
  • Agile and strategic thinking
  • Self-awareness and increasing engagement through feedback

The Solution

Following a comprehensive training needs analysis, we designed a bespoke, scenario-based leadership simulation focused on ‘critical for success’ situations. The programme included:

  • An intensive two-day experiential workshop built around a simulation, providing real-time opportunities to practice leadership styles, strategic thinking, and team communication.
  • Self and group reflection sessions, offering in-depth feedback on leadership styles, personal impact, and communication, with participants from across Europe and Japan.
  • Challenge and stretch opportunities for managers who were seeking future swift promotion
